Ganga Action Plan – A Retrospective

A comprehensive review of the Ganga Action Plan (GAP) initiated over three decades ago. Despite massive investments, the river still faces severe pollution challenges. The Sankat Mochan Foundation has been actively involved in providing alternative, more effective wastewater treatment proposals like AIWPS. In this post, we discuss the way forward and the urgent need for a paradigm shift in river conservation strategies.
